Bed and Breakfast Description

In the summer, we have a heated swimming pool; year round we feature a hot tub, pool table, screened porches, fabulous views, DVDs and VCRs.

We offer a full, hearty gourmet breakfast including fruit, fresh baked bread, waffles, eggs, pancakes or quiche, juice and breakfast meats. We offer vegan, vegetarian, and other special diets.

We are redefining the phrase 'pet friendly'. Housebroken, well mannered pets are always welcome at the Lazy L. Pet owners will find conveniences that make traveling with your pet relaxing and comfortable for everyone. Our large 1 acre, fully lighted dog run, inside gates, wet dog towels and healthy treats are just a few of the dog friendly aspects.

Customer service is foremost here. Whether it is special ordering a cake for a birthday or anniversary, placing a wine and cheese basket in the room or arranging for dinner or a kayak adventure, the innkeepers know how to make a guest feel special.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Whale and dolphin-watching tours are scheduled during the warm weather months. You can sail on a tall ship or rent a small boat to tour the harbor or Delaware Bay.

Shop at fine clothing stores, antique shops, gift shops, specialty stores, galleries and more.

Head boats routinely schedule trips out of Lewes Harbor in search of sea bass, flounder, trout, cod, mackerel, ling and other choice catches. Charter boat captains can satisfy your quest for the big game fish. Tuna, white marlin, shark and stripers are just some of the trophy fish lurking in the Atlantic waters.

Most Popular Rooms:

Nature Room: Is upstairs, and has a fabulous view overlooking the Red Mill Creek. It is much larger than the typical bed and breakfast room. Features a private bath and plenty of space to sit, relax and stow your gear, large bath and a queen sleigh bed.

Key West and Flamingo rooms: On our ground floor. Offer a breathtaking walk-out private deck area facing the creek. The easy in and out to these rooms are a real attraction. These two rooms can be rented as a two bedroom suite with a kitchenette nearby.
