The Beechwood Inn is Georgia's Premier Wine Country Inn and offers luxury lodging in a rustic mountain setting. The Inn is nestled among 100 year-old terraced gardens overlooking Black Rock Mountain. It is a place where all elements add up to a culinary and wine-oriented journey.

The Inn also features Northeast Georgia's only Wine Spectator Award of Excellence restaurant. The restaurant offers Saturday Prixe Fixe dining by advance reservation featuring fresh California and Mediterranean-style meals using the best of local, organic and sustainable products from Georgia farms, vineyards and orchards.

Our Foods: Most of our seasonal foods are from local and sustainable farms, orchards and gardens - and much of it is organic and natural. The Beechwood Inn is located on the most direct route to the Smokey Mountains from Atlanta, Florida and Augusta. We are also easily accessible from Asheville, Charlotte, and Greenville.

The Beechwood Inn is perfectly situated for experiencing a wide variety of activities. A favorite of cycling, hiking and whitewater enthusiasts (we offer special discounts to those rafting with River Outfitters!). We are equally convenient for the pursuit of history, antiques, art, Foxfire Museum, folklore, or those seeking the perfect wine from the many wineries flourishing on the newly established Georgia Wine Highway.

When you've satisfied your thirst for adventure, retire to the Beechwood for an afternoon snack, a glass of wine, a good book and the sweeping views of the southern Blue Ridge Mountains. A good night's sleep will be assured from luxury linens in the cozy guestrooms.

Most Popular Rooms:

Vineyard Room: Very private, decorated in grape and vineyard motif. The Vineyard Room has a king bed, bathroom with a shower, air conditioning, CD player, fireplace and windows on three sides offering views of Black Rock Mountain and the Beechwood Gardens

Nantahala Suite: We call this our "Honeymoon" Suite. This is a very private, 2 room suite with living room, bedroom, air conditioning, ceiling fans, CD player, fireplace, private patio, clawfoot tub, and view of the secret garden.

Reservation Notes:

Basic Rates: includes large rooms with private baths, a sumptuous homemade breakfast, $159 to $189 per night, double occupancy. Rates do not include tax. Each additional person per room is $25 per night. Inn Policies * No smoking or guest candles inside or on our wooden porches. Smoking is limited to the grounds or parking lots away from the Inn. * Meals accommodating special dietary restrictions are available by pre-arrangement * Consumption of alcohol permitted (guests may enjoy their own beverages in moderation). * Quiet hours are from 10:30pm to 7:00am * Children over the age of 12 are comfortable at the Inn * No guest pets allowed (owners have a resident Labrador) * Two night minimum on holidays and during October. * Deposits: Receipt of a night's lodging or 50% percent of your stay, whichever is greater, will confirm your reservation. If using cash or checks, reservations will be held for 5 days awaiting your deposit. Once confirmed, a $25-50 service fee may be applied should you cancel (depending on credit card used). We gladly accept personal checks, and we honor Master Card, Visa, and American Express cards. * Cancellation Policy: We are a small inn and do not overbook. Your room is guaranteed, and we agree to hold the accommodations you reserve until check out time on the day of your scheduled departure. Therefore, we strictly enforce our cancellation policy. Deposits will be refunded or applied to a new date if cancellation is received 14 days prior to scheduled arrival. If cancellation is within 14 days of arrival date, then refund will be based on the extent the accommodations can be re-rented over the entire reserved period. If we cannot re-rent the room then you will be responsible for the entire period. Thirty days’ notice applies to holidays, the month of October, reservations reserving the entire inn, and special events packages. A $25 to $50 service fee may apply. * Check-In: 3:00PM-8:00PM.
