Unwind in the peace and tranquility afforded by extra thick adobe walls and the heavenly scent of a luscious rose garden. We are now operating as a "Green Inn" and find new ways every day to operate in a more eco-friendly fashion.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Walking into Hacienda Nicholas is like stepping back in time. The historic adobe home, just 3 blocks from the Plaza and new Convention Center, features a central "great room" with 20-foot ceilings, thick wooden vigas, softly colored hand-troweled plaster walls and a huge fireplace.

Lovely Gustav Bauman prints grace the walls, and rustic Mexican furnishings inhabit every room. The seven bedrooms all feature wrought iron or beautiful wooden four poster beds, private baths decorated with charming Mexican tiles, telephones with voicemail, wireless internet access, cable TV and air conditioning.

We are also members of the Green Hotels Association and endeavor to be as eco-friendly as possible while offering the finest in guest services and comfort.

Our new spa, Absolute Nirvana, was selected by Conde Nast Traveler as "One of the Hottest New Spas in the World". We offer traditional Asian spa rituals and luxurious rose petal baths, along with therapeutic, hot stone, Thai massage and a selection of facials.

Savor full breakfasts of frittatas, waffles or enchiladas along with fresh fruit salad, homemade granola and breads, yogurt, organic whole grain bread and more. In the afternoon, nibble on delicious homemade cookies and other delectables. Guests also love our nightly wine & cheese hour.

After a full day of seeing the sights, melt into one of our absolutely heavenly beds, made up with 100% cotton sheets, down comforters and feather pillows.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Sunflower: Is a sunny and spacious suite with French doors opening off courtyard. The wrought iron king bed has views to the garden and the room's kiva fireplace. Hand-hewn ceiling beams and Mexican tilework give wonderful Southwestern ambience.

The Nicholas: A favorite among returning guests for its spacious size and Southwest character. The brick-floored living room features an oversized fireplace and original Western art, while the bedroom's focal point is the graceful wrought iron king bed.
