Vinton, Iowa bed and breakfast: The Lion & The Lamb
To highlight the unique architecture, seven colors were chosen to detail this beautiful "Painted Lady". Inside you will find seven fireplaces each with ornate wood & tiled mantles. Walk through pocket doors into rooms with ten foot ceilings and parquet floors. Behold vibrant fall colors through stained glass windows. Ascending the beautiful open staircase from the oak paneled Great Hall, is only a sampling of the six species of woodwork through out the home.

You'll want to relax on the front porch swing while sipping iced tea or a tall glass of lemonade. Visit with your host and other guests in the parlor or perhaps you may want to just retire early to your private room.

The Iowa Braille & Sight Saving School (where Mary Ingalls, sister of author Laura Ingalls Wilder, attended school), golfing at the Vinton Country Club, Old Vinton Railroad Depot, Historic Ray & Horridge Houses. Austrian cuisine at Villa Comagena. Indoor simulated golf courses from around the world at Golf Right.

Hazel's Room: Decorated with an antique "high" walnut bed, matching marble-topped dresser and nightstand. This room features a rounded turret and stained glass window. The wallpaper complements the tiled fireplace completing the 19th century feel.
Mattie's Room: This room encircles you in fairytale romance with its circular tower and curved stained glass window. The room is adorned by an Oak Victorian Mansion Bed with matching secretary. Make your dreams come true!
