Bed and Breakfast Description

Located at the base of Cannon Mountain in Franconia, New Hampshire, the Horse and Hound Inn is off the beaten path, yet close to all attractions. With plentiful activities for all, it is sure to be a wonderful place to visit time and time again.

We welcome you to stay in any of our eight guest rooms, dine in our pine-paneled Hunt dining room or join us for a relaxing apertif in our Tuckerbrook Lounge. All rooms have private bath,and calling card telephones for out-going calls. Local calls are free. There is a television in the lounge, and a VCR/DVD, with movies in the living room.

The Hunt Room is open for reservations Wednesday through Saturday from 6 pm until 8 pm. The Horse & Hound has "Diner Nite" every night, where the fare is traditional diner fare and everything on the menu is under $8.95.

The Horse and Hound Inn is the perfect place for your special event. The Hunt Room and our Tuckerbrook Lounge offer a relaxed atmosphere for rehearsal dinners, weddings, reunions, company parties. Our a spacious back lawn and beautiful gardens are a wonderful place for tented weddings, concerts, and garden parties.

Summer and fall foliage seasons offer hiking, biking, golf, swimming and amazing views; while winter, in New England, offers downhill and cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, sledding and beautiful snow-capped peaks.

The Horse & Hound Inn is adjacent to the White Mountain National Forest on the west side of Cannon Mountain Ski Area and Franconia Notch State Park in scenic New Hampshire. There is also the free use of 65 kilometers of cross country ski trails connected to the property.

Room 1: An Inn favorite, The Landing is charmingly furnished with an old-fashioned double spool bed in floral tones of red. A cozy room for a romantic getaway.
