Granbury, Texas bed and breakfast: 1890 Captain's House B&B
You can stroll down our private walkway that leads to a bluff above the lake. Get even closer by taking the stairs down to the waters edge and rest on a bench while listening to the sound of the waves against the shore.

The Captain’s House is one of the few Granbury bed and breakfasts that serve a delicious full breakfast right to your room each day. Guests often chose to have their breakfast on the balcony and soak in the views of the lake.

It is only a short two-block walk from The Captain’s House to Granbury’s Historic Square where there are live theatres, restaurants and shops.

Area Attractions and Activities:
Granbury is a dynamic and growing community located approximately 30 miles Southwest of Fort Worth, Texas on US Highway 377, often referred to as the NAFTA Highway. Nestled around Lake Granbury, which was created in 1969 by damming the Brazos River, Granbury offers a unique dichotomy of both historic attractions and present day accommodations and shopping. Our historic square remains in many ways just as it was in the late 1800's. Many of the buildings on the square are registered historic landmarks, including the Granbury Opera House. We invite you to come visit us and see "Where Texas History Lives".
