The Irish Inn is a stone and log chalet, built with native rock and full Carolina pines. The Irish Inn sits atop a Frank Lloyd Wright wood foundation, and is accented by pine and bamboo floors, fireplaces, and mementos from time spent on six continents.

The Irish Inn offers generous helpings of warm Celtic hospitality. Whether you are traveling during the week, enjoying a special weekend or holiday, or getting married here, you will never forget your stay at The Irish Inn.

We dare you to finish our full Irish breakfasts served when you want them (8AM - 12 noon). Enjoy Irish bangers, a country ham steak, pork chops, bacon (Irish or American), two, three, or more eggs, sauteed mushrooms, and fried tomatoes on your breakfast plate. Add special breads, jams, juices, coffee, morning Irish tea, and you have a hearty start to the day! Picnic luncheons or special dinners can be arranged as well.

The Irish Inn is a wireless hot spot, and we can arrange a whole office for long-term visitors, but between the natural beauty here, romance in the air, and the well-practiced lively art of conversation, most guests like a break from the electronic world. We pick up and drop off guests at area airports and at the Carbondale Amtrak depot.

You can elope to The Irish Inn or plan your dream wedding ceremony in one of the magnificent nature areas nearby or in the inn. We host small groups, reunions, anniversaries, honeymoons, and all couples seeking relaxing romantic weekends. Children, families, and pets are welcome here, but please let us know at reservation.

The Irish Inn is near the Tunnel Hill State Bicycle Trail, Bellsmith Springs, Burden Falls, Dixon Springs, Ferne Clyffe, Jackson Hollow, Jackson Falls, wineries (Hogg Hollow, Bella Terra, Windy Hill, Cache River Basin), Lake Glendale, the Ohio River, Trigg Tower, Lusk Creek Canyon, Millstone Bluff, Indian Kitchen, Garden of the Gods, and other beautiful natural sites. Stay in a stone and log chalet, comfortably cool in summer with blazing log fires in winter. You will enjoy the company of a genuine Belfast-born innkeeper, and there is no extra charge for the blarney, storytelling, and good Irish luck.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Dublin Castle suite is fit for a Laird or Queen Maeve herself. It features a king-sized feather bed, sitting area, walk-in closet, half-size refrigerator, whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, bedet, satellite television, large HDTV, DVD player, and Wi-Fi.

The Tipperary Tower features two king bedrooms, and there is a bathroom with privacy doors. Flat screen HDTV, DVD player, bamboo and pine flooring, antiques, sitting areas, refrigerator, spacious closets, and forest and pond views from the third floor.

The Irish Inn offers discounts for multiple day stays, particularly during the week, and we encourage guests to take full advantage of these specials. Reservations must be prepaid and are non-refundable. If a serious emergency arises, we will reschedule your visit.
