Yet the inn is located on the edge of Acadia National Park and only a short distance from Southwest Harbor and Bar Harbor.

At Ann's Point Inn you can awaken to a sparkling sunrise across Bass Harbor then stroll through the courtyard to an exquisite breakfast overlooking the water, with choices of fresh ground coffee or cappuccino, pastries or muffins, home made granola, a fresh fruit dish, and delicious entrees.

Plan your day by browsing our library of local guidebooks and maps. On your return, soothe your sore muscles in our Finnish sauna and hot tub, go for a swim in the heated indoor pool, or relax in our solarium watching the fog and mist roll in from the ocean. In the late afternoon enjoy local drinks and cheeses. After dinner settle in front of your fireplace with freshly-baked cookies, or enjoy a movie from our extensive collection. Finally, sleep soundly in the wonderful sea air, comforted by the gentle murmur of the water just outside your window.

At Ann's Point Inn you can enjoy viewing the scenic harbor waters from our secluded shoreline. Launch your kayak from our lawn, watch the birds, enjoy a lobster dinner at the local lobster pound, visit the Bass Harbor Lighthouse or go on an Island Nature Cruise.

Great hiking trails for all levels of ability (from easy to very challenging) in Acadia National Park are close by, as is Echo Lake and its swimming beach. Take a drive along the Loop Road through the Park and stop at the top of Cadillac Mountain. Go on a kayak tour out of nearby Southwest Harbor (the West Side of the island is rated by the Boston Globe as one of the 10 best places to kayak in New England). Rent a bicycle and bike the carriage roads through the Park or take a carriage ride and let the horses do the work. Visit Bar Harbor and go on a whale watch. And of course, enjoy the many fine restaurants located throughout this beautiful island.

The Mallards Haven: King sleigh bed with fluffy pillows and pillowtop mattress. Corner gas fireplace, bathroom with windows, large tiled double shower, separate double Jacuzzi tub, vessel sink, custom cherry cabinets. High ceiling and a wall of windows.

The Eagles Nest: Spacious and airy with a Cathedral ceiling and a wall of windows. King-size English 4-poster bed, fireplace and large walk-in closet. Appointed with a fully tiled shower with tub. Second outside door leads to back lawn and shoreline.
