Our classic seaside hotel is at the hub of a vacationer's paradise. No matter which way you turn, there will be something to intrigue you.

The Main Beach and the Municipal Wharf are just one block away. At the Wharf you can feast on seafood delicacies as you listen to bellowing sea lions frolic in the waters below.

The low lying beach area quickly gives way to the surrounding mountains. We recommend a short loop trail through a redwood forest at Henry Cowell State Park. Redwoods are the world's tallest trees, and their stature will leave you in awe. From adjacent Roaring Camps, you can take a historic train ride through the forest to the Main Beach, or you can visit wineries you'll encounter along country roads.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is two blocks further. This is the last remaining seaside amusement park on the West Coast. It features the Carousel and the Giant Dipper Roller Coaster, both national historic landmarks.

Turn right and take a short walk along West Cliff Drive to Steamer Lane, one of California's premiere surf locations, and to the Lighthouse, featuring a surfing museum. This scenic, pedestrian pathway continues to Natural Bridges State Park, where you can wander through tide pools brimming with sea life or marvel at trees filled with hibernating clumps of Monarch butterflies.

Now turn left and take a short stroll to Downtown Santa Cruz, known for its quirky, dynamic character. You'll fine an eclectic selection of shops, cafés, restaurants, and musical venues. Also take your time as you stroll through the Historic homes of Santa Cruz which include several properties from the Venetian time period. There is something for all tastes and styles in Downtown Santa Cruz
