Bed and Breakfast Description

Every afternoon at 4:30, the tea cart appears in the common room. It is laden with freshly brewed tea, savories, and sweets.

In your room, you'll find comfortable beds with reading lights (2) and 2 bedside tables, and useful amenities in your bathroom. Some rooms have fireplaces; all have down comforters.

The Goose & Turrets is dedicated to serving four courses of healthy breakfast composed of something guests probably wouldn't cook for themselves.

Breakfast always includes our specially brewed Ethiopian coffee (regular or decaf) and might include Highland Morn tea, orange juice, melon and prosciutto, hot oatmeal, Southwest corn pancakes with sour cream and salsa, and mandarin orange sherbet; OR Ceylon and India tea, cran-raspberry juice, fresh fruit plate, yogurt and granola, chompipe con queso (ask about the name), and black cherries in brandy sauce with crème chantilly; OR Queen Catherine tea, apple juice, smoked salmon and cream cheese on a baby bagel, housemade muesli, blackberry filled Dutch baby, and cheese board; OR English Breakfast tea, tangerine juice, mango porcupine, bellila (ask), garden omelet with country sausage and sour dough toast, and pot de creme du chocolat avec creme chantilly.

Most Popular Rooms:

Hummingbird Room: Has a queen size bed and a sitting area in front of the gas fireplace. It looks out on a hedge and fuschias that attract hummingbirds year round. Bath with tub and shower.

The Demetra Room: Has a queen-size bed, a door leading directly out to a patio and the rose garden, decorated with mementos from hosts' archaeological work in Crimea; bath with shower only.
