A full breakfast is always offered with your choice of a light and healthful selection such as our signature Stonebow Inn Premium Granola served with low-fat milk or yogurt, combined with fresh fruit salad or a warm poached fruit compote. Allow yourself a vacation extravagance and continue with such delicious choices as Grand Mariner French Toast drizzled with Garrett County Maple Syrup or Black Forest Baked Eggs - baked cups of ham filled with mushrooms, sour cream, fresh farm eggs, parmesan cheese and chopped tarragon.

We delight in coming up with new and flavorful breakfast dishes year-round, so relax and enjoy a special and leisurely start to the morning in the mountains of western Maryland.

The Stonebow Inn comprises four buildings: Stanton House, River House, Kingfisher Cottage and Blue Heron Cottage. All rooms have en suite private bathrooms, with Lord & Mayfair soaps, shampoos, lotions; hair dryer, phone, wireless Internet access, TV/VCR, AC, CD player/alarm clock, and access to coffeemaker, refrigerator. Complimentary coffee, teas and bottled spring water are provided.

All rooms feature 400 thread count linens, plush cotton towels and velour robes and hand-made Amish quilts or elegant Matelasse coverlets on queen or king size beds. Some rooms also have a fireplace or microwave oven.

Activities our inn guests enjoy: Trout fishing on the Casselman River right on the property; visiting the artisan village across the street (May-October); a ride on the Maryland Scenic Railroad or a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. Downhill skiing at Wisp Ski Resort; cross-country ski at New Germany State Park.

Area activities for your enjoyment: Swallow Falls and 5 other state parks. Kayaking and whitewater rafting on the Youghiogheny or Ohiopyle Rivers. Biking, canoeing, cross country skiing, horseback riding, championship golf course, auctions, antique shopping, farmers markets, fall foliage, arts and crafts festivals, historic sites.

Kingfisher Cottage: A two story cottage with cathedral windows facing the Casselman River. Features a large private deck off the main floor sitting room with gas fireplace. Private bath with tub/shower. Victorian-style queen bed, queen and double sofa-bed

Stanton Suite: Second floor room in the restored Victorian House. Private bath with tub/shower, sitting room with Franklin-stove style fire. Victorian style queen bed with locally made Amish quilt. Very elegant and private.

CANCELLATION POLICY • Cancel at least one week prior to your arrival date: No penalty. • Cancel less than seven days prior to your arrival date: A 50% cancellation fee will be charged to your credit card, OR you can simply reschedule your booking and your credit card will be charged the full amount as prepayment. • All cancellations must be made by telephone (due to the vagaries of internet service in Garrett County, email cancellations will not be accepted.)
