Bed and Breakfast Description

The house was built about 1820. Originally, it was a Federal Style; in 1873, several rooms were added to and renovated in the Victorian manner by Captain Vail. Arbor View House is a fine example of Victorian architecture and is listed by the Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities (SPLIA).

The innkeepers, Veda Daley Joseph and Wilfred Joseph, have done a masterful job of restoring this old house to its former glory. It has been lovingly restored and renovated, preserving its artifacts and replacing any that may have been removed.

Veda and Wilfred set out create a number of things when they started. First, they wanted to make sure that you were comfortable and were able to relax, recharge, and renew your body, mind and spirit. They chose colors and fabrics that create a soothing yet alive ambiance. The beds are comfortable, firm yet soft enough to ensure a good night’s sleep. The breakfasts are full, a sensory delight, and legendary.

Spa services are also available – these are designed to complete the full sensory experience.

The Champagne Suite: Has a king size bed and Sealy Posturepedic mattress. It is crisply decorated in muted garden florals. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub and ceramic tiles throughout.

The Zinfandel Room: A bright, cheery and quiet room; has a Sealy Posturepedic mattress and is dressed in green stripes and florals. The four poster queen sized bed complements the beautifully tiled ensuite bathroom with a whirlpool tub and shower.
