The Thompson House
Mount Airy, North Carolina.
The Thompson House B&B is a two-story Victorian located in the Flat Rock area of Mt. Airy. Outside the house, the wraparound porch has plenty of rocking chairs. There is also a small outdoor balcony upstairs. Child and pet friendly.
Bed and Breakfast Description
The home was built in the early 1900s by the Thompson family as a boarding house for newly arrived immigrants employed as artisans at the nearby NC Granite Quarry.
The house features many of the things remembered from Grandma's house; hand-carved woodwork both inside and out, high ceilings, 'gingerbread' trim and many of the original brass fixtures.
We are pet friendly with innkeeper permission.
