The Lake House
Valdez, Alaska.
This comfortable hideaway overlooking the sparkling blue waters of Robe Lake is located only 10 minutes from Valdez. The view is both grand and peaceful, the wildlife plentiful. Six rooms available for guests. Children welcome.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Towering mountains are seen from every window. Guests are welcome to use the very large living room and large deck that overlooks Robe Lake. Field glasses are available to watch the abundant wildlife. A covered picnic area and gas grill are available for guests to cook their catch of the day. Guests have access to the large second floor view room to read, play board games, listen to music, or read and relax.
The Valdez Lake House Bed and Breakfast has six rooms available for guests. Four of the rooms have queen-sized beds, private baths, and private balconies. The fifth room has a king-sized bed, a twin bed, and a private bath. The sixth room is a two room suite with a private bath and a queen-sized bed in one room and two twin beds in the other one.
Before you depart on the day's Alaskan adventure, our help-yourself continental breakfast is available beginning at 6 AM and features an assortment of cereals, fruits, coffee, juice, muffins, and pastries. We are happy to recommend local restaurants for your other meals.
We're open year round, but suggest reservations to be sure of room availability.
Area Attractions and Activities:
Valdez is home to 5 glaciers that can be accessed by cruising, flying, walking or driving. Other summer activities include fishing, hiking, biking, and glacier trekking and rapelling. Watch the past come alive while visiting the local museums and collections displaying Alaska Native artifacts.
Valdez offers spectacular scenery combined with a rich history dating from the 1898 Gold Rush, and is the terminus for the Trans Alaska Pipeline System.
Valdez is the destination in southcentral Alaska for exciting adventures including deep sea fishing, rafting, sea kayaking, hiking, backcountry skiing, groomed cross country trail skiing, and viewing wildlife such as bears, mountain goats, and many species of birds.
