We are so happy to announce that we have re opened the inn on Jan. 2nd 2012 after 6 months of restoration from a lightning strike, fire and water damage. We are excited to show all of our guests the changes and the luxurious touches that we have added.

The inn was built in approximately 1912 on a prominent corner lot in Cameron Park, a National Register historic district. Developed in 1910, Cameron Park was marketed as Raleigh's first planned sub-division. It quickly became the most exclusive of Raleigh's three major early 20th century neighborhoods and was designed to attract the upper middle class. Lots sold for $1,000 to $2,500. The restrictive covenants on the lots at the time specified that a home within the neighborhood must cost at least $3,000 to build. 211 Groveland was one of the first 150 homes to be constructed in Cameron Park.

Today, nestled under large, stately oak trees, the Inn sits comfortably on its expansive, shaded lot literally, atop the highest point in the Cameron Park neighborhood. The welcoming front porch is a popular evening gathering spot for guests, to swing or rock themselves into a relaxed state, enjoying the breezes from ceiling fans at both ends of this 42' wide veranda.

Our 5 luxuriously appointed guest rooms feature full private bathrooms, ceiling fans, 15" flat screen TVs, DVD players, high tech radios, and wireless high speed internet access. Twin bed option, too!

You'll know breakfast is served when you awaken to the aroma of freshly brewed gourmet coffee! In the spacious formal Dining Room, you will enjoy a 2 course gourmet breakfast, while soft sunlight from tall windows offers a warm, inviting atmosphere to start off the day.

Located just off Hillsborough Street at the N.C. State University Bell Tower in Raleigh, N.C., the Cameron Park Inn is within easy walking distance of N.C. State University, Cameron Village, and the Raleigh Little Theater and Rose Garden.

It's a 5 minute trip to Downtown Raleigh, City Market, Mordecai Historic Park, Historic Oakwood, the State Fairgrounds, the RBC Sports Arena and Glenwood South's restaurants and shops.

The Rose Suite The warm, deep reds of this cozy suite may inspire creativity or perhaps, passion! This convenient first floor suite features a private entrance with its own parking spot and a private Jacuzzi. This suite is the largest and most luxurious.

Hydrangea Suite: This spacious 2-room suite features a beautiful restored fireplace mantle, your own private bath and a comfortable queen size four-poster bed. Step out onto the private balcony overlooking the Inn's Victorian garden.
