 The Lodge is surrounded by 26 acres of vacant desert. Further west, some 200 acres are vacant. The sparse population makes for a peaceful setting. The city and mountain views create spectacular backdrops for walking, hiking or lazy times in a comfy chair. Outdoor kitchen is appointed with grill, griddle, sinks, 40 feet of granite counter tops, fridge, freezer, instant hot water, his/hers restrooms. Items you may use for day trips - coolers,sleds for use at White Sands, thermos, etc. All sorts of pots/pans and small appliances. One cabinet is stocked full of games. Available for guests and/or special parties. Stonewalls, adobe walls and wrought iron completely enclose the Lodge. Combination locks on gates give privacy and security. A dawn to dusk lighting system adds to the security and lights up the way for nighttime enjoyment of the patios and garden. Off street R-V and truck parking is available. Walking and hiking trails are just outside your door. Area Attractions and Activities: As sunset reddens the sky behind Picacho Peak, twilight settles over the City and the lights begin to glow, illuminating the sky from El Paso to Dona Ana. A peaceful setting for walking or hiking. Borrow our sleds to zoom down the white gypsum dunes at White Sands Monument. Close proximity to the Fairgrounds and Las Cruces Aiport, where many activities are held, i.e. the Wine Festival, The Fair, Space Expo, Air Show, X Prize.
