 Two circa 1870 houses serve as Guest Houses for this traditionally decorated B&B that overlooks the street length gardens and fountain of Arkell Hall to the front, and borders the Erie Canal Trail with terraced native limestone walls to the back. The separate Guest House has three bedrooms all with private baths, a Great Room and a Butler's Kitchen. There is one room available at the Main House which looks directly over Arkell Garden fountains. In the Guest House you'll find: The Heritage Room - An elegant spacious room with large antique armoire, a four poster canopy queen bed, comfortable period chairs, wallpapered, carpeted and a color coordinated adjoining private bath/shower all combine a 'heritage' of classic American styles for a most comfortable stay. The Garden Room - Enjoy the splendor of sun light and overlook a street length garden and fountain from this room; a collection of American country furnishings and decorated with wallpaper, historical paints, and a color coordinated private bath/shower. The Nature Trail Room - Look past the terraced limestone walls and on to Eire Canal Trail, and if you're biking your sure to enjoy the over-sized bath. Cozily decorated with Dahlia patterned wallpaper and scaled furnishings, this room is a favorite of many. The Guest House is available complete with the Butler's Kitchen for special occasions and /or extended stays. Please call for special arrangements. Area Attractions and Activities: In historic Canajoharie, right on the Erie Canal Bike Trail and near the Mohawk River. Walk to an art gallery with world class art, or local restaurants, explore for antiques and history, enjoy the concerts and horse racing in Saratoga, climb in the Adirondacks, and with easy connections to Glimmerglass Opera and Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, it's all possible from this just West of Albany location. Canajoharie is centrally located with Albany approximately 45 minutes to our East, Cooperstown 30 minutes to the South-West, Utica 35 minutes to our West and Saratoga Springs 45 minutes to the North-East and the Adirondacks 20 minutes away.
