Bed and Breakfast Description

Your home away from home located in Volcano, on the Big Island in Hawaii, just a few miles from the entrance to the Volcano National Park, in a residential area and nestled in a natural setting of tree ferns and Ohia trees.
Accommodations are three fun, decorated rooms with keyed locks. Downstairs, you'll find the Cat Room with a queen bed, and the Bears Room with twin beds, both have half baths and share a lockable shower. Upstairs, the Heart Room has a queen bed and a private bath. A charming, tree-view, glass-enclosed porch with eating and light cooking facilities is available for shared use. Coffee, tea, and small treats are supplied in this red-tiled and carpeted area.
There is a kitchenette downstairs. Relax in the shared sitting area with a gas fireplace and VCR. An honor fee laundry area is for your convenience. The 3,500-feet elevation and cooler temperatures make the flannel sheets very cozy.
Near Volcano Village with restaurants (even an Internet connection at Lava Rock Cafe) and shopping.
A'alani Volcano Heart Hawaii was built with conservation in mind. The site was left with the natural landscaping of native Ohia trees and Tree ferns. It required a water catchment and we put in Compact Florescent lighting, natural cedar walls and lots of nice but recycled furniture. It is near the act
Area Attractions and Activities:
The area has many interesting features, such as orchid nurseries, bonsai nursery, golf course, winery, and hiking, Take the Mauna Kea Mountain tour with the memorial to local boy Onzuka (one of the men lost in the space accident).
Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, an International Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage site, displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration, and evolution -- processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and clothed it with complex and unique ecosystems and a distinct human culture. The park encompasses diverse environments that range from sea level to the summit of the earth's most massive volcano, Mauna Loa at 13,677 feet. Kilauea, the world's most active volcano, offers scientists insights on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and visitors views of dramatic volcanic landscapes.
