Nestled between the Appalachian and Great Smoky Mountains, Kingsport beckons you to enjoy its natural beauty, rich historic traditions and exciting future vision. The timeless beauty of the Appalachian mountains provides a breathtaking backdrop for the rapid development of the city. Kingsport has transformed its natural surroundings into excellent facilities for visitors and residents.
Intriguing history and southern elegance create the romantic setting of Kingsport's Allandale Mansion, often called Kingsport's "White House." Built in 1950 by Ruth and Harvey Brooks, Allandale still houses their fine furnishings, antiques and art.
Allandale Mansion was willed to the City of Kingsport in 1969. It is a classic example of Georgian architecture with four chimneys, a hipped roof and formal fireplaces in the main rooms. In true Georgia style, a grand curved wooden staircase dominates the mansion's foyer.
Most Popular Rooms:
Master Suite: You will feel like you’re still dreaming when you wake up in this beautifully decorated suite, complete with king size, four poster bed, fireplace, flat screen television, along with a massive bath and dressing area.
