Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

The Sheffield House, is a residential beach community. We have two vacation rental units, the Garden Suite and the Guest Room which are connected to but separate from our house.

A breakfast of Portuguese cinnamon sweet bread , fruit, juice, coffee and tea is provided in your room the first morning. There is a kitchenette with granite counter tops in the Garden Suite. The Ginger Studio has a breakfast bar with small appliances. Both units have queen beds.

Both of the units have free off street parking, private entrance, phone, wireless internet connection, and color TV. Mexican tile floors, wicker/rattan furniture and tropical colors set a beautiful scene for a relaxing vacation. While not air-conditioned, we have good tropical breezes almost all of the time and ceiling fans in every room. We are a non-smoking facility. The guestroom bathroom is wheelchair accessible.

The Ginger Studio and the Garden Suite (although under separate keys) can connect to make a two-bedroom, two-bath unit.

Get a special welcome from our Cocker spaniel, Maile. She loves to have her head scratched.

Wake up to the sound of birds singing and breezes coasting in from the ocean, go for a walk on beautiful, white, sandy, Kailua beach.

Futons, boogie boards, beach towels and beach chairs are available for your use.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Available: 3/19-4/5, 4/20-5/31. Kailua Beach is absolutely the best beach on Oahu, and only a short walk away. From Sheffield House, just walk down the street toward the ocean, turn right at the light onto Kalaheo Rd. Take the first left, Kaapuni St and walk straight ahead to the beach.

We are not far to Hanauma Bay for world class snorkeling.
The Polynesian Cultural Center is 40 minutes up the road in Laie. Waikiki and Honolulu is only 10 miles away over the Pali Mountains. If you are looking for Hawaiian History the Bishop Museum is in Honolulu. Pearl Harbor's Arizona Memorial and the Missouri are also important historical parks that commemorate World War II. Hike to the WWII pillbox above Lanikai. Find puka shells at Bellows Air Force Beach. Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe provides you with a hike where the plants have name labels.

There are also many Eco-Adventures that you can go on, including hiking, swimming, kayaking, bird watching, surfing and snorkeling

Garden Suite Wild life? The entry way turtle fountain of the Garden suite welcomes guests. Inside a watercolor of a Hawaiian monk seal looks over the futon saying, "Aren't the waves grand?" The geckos chirp, "Did you enjoy your day in Kailua?"

The Ginger Studio has a Chinese steamer pot bubbler fountain near the entry. The windows look out to a bank of areca palms. and its own "Secret Garden" with a table and chairs for your use. A single bed can be added to this room so it can sleep three.
