Bed and Breakfast Description

The Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument is truly one our nation's great pieces of real estate. At nearly two million acres, the deep sandstone canyons, great oceans of slick rock, and mystifying plateaus have kept modern humans at bay. This was the last mapped area in the lower 48. The Escalante was the last named river.

In fact, there are still places that haven't been visited in the last 400 years. There just aren't too many places like this left on the face of the earth. So come to Escalante, explore untamed lands, and find the adventure your life's been missing.

Area Attractions and Activities:

What would you like to do? You can go down into the high desert in the morning and then go up into Dixie National Forest in the afternoon. Spooky and Peek-A-Boo slot canyons, about 10"-12" in spots, are a favorite along with Calf Creek. Don't want to hike and want scenery? Take in the most spectacular highway in the country, Highway 12. Come see what is so spectacular about The Hogs Back, Burr Trail, Hells Backbone, Devil Garden. and the list goes on.

Want to walk in the water in a canyon, Escalante Canyon is the place to be. Want to see a water fall, Calf Creek is where its at. About a 3 hour in and out easy walk. Want to drive through 6 miles of beautiful red rock canyon walls, Burr Trail is a must. Bring plenty of film or additional cards for your digital camera. You will need it.

Take in the sunrise and sunsets at Devils Garden. Escalante is set back in time where it's peaceful, quiet AND beautuful. When all is said and done, come stay with us. We'll take care of you from there

Most Popular Rooms:

The Sage Room, @360 sq ft, has a king canopy bed with a leather rawhide head piece. DirecTV, free cell phone useage, skylight, tiled bath and carpeted living area. This is the only room with its own side porch looking at the Escalante Canyon.

The Sun Room: Our largest room with 450 sq ft. Two comfortable queen sized Aspen beds with pillowtop mattresses, DirecTV with 35" TV, cell phone useage, cathedral ceiling with exposed Aspen beam with fan, coffee maker, Ethernet Internet accessible.
