Sea Gull Inn is one of Mendocino's first bed and breakfast inns - located in the heart of town, the Sea Gull Inn is best known for its oceanviews, garden setting, distinctive guestrooms, and organic breakfast fare.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The house was built in 1883. A giant Holly tree shades the front porch. The private garden has several secluded sitting areas. Meticulously maintained, the inn and its grounds are very much a part of Mendocino's charm.

An organic breakfast will be delivered to your room - with your choice of piping hot coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Enjoy full use of the lush gardens and reading nooks found throughout the grounds to relax and rejuvinate. Pause and enjoy a cup of tea or a nice glass of wine from one of the top rated wineries in the area. Get away from the hustle and bustle and find yourself again.

Innkeepers and owners Jim and Ayla Douglas will ensure that the flowers in your room are fresh and your stay is memorable.

Within walking distance are the galleries and shops of historic Mendocino village. Mendocino Music Festival, Mendocino Art Center, Mendocino Theater Company, wineries and events, State Parks, bicycling, horseback riding or scuba diving.

Explore the creek and river canyons as well as the headlands and bluffs. Visit waterfalls, ancient marine terraces, a pygmy forest and a fern canyon. Visit the Anderson Wine Valley, Willits or Ft. Bragg. Take the Skunk Train through the Coastal Mountains and Redwoods. Whale watching, seals and sea lions, Mendocino Coast Botanical gardens, and more.

Two-wheeled riders will love the area's roadways and backroads & trails. Whether peddling through, touring 2-up, or carving the coastal route, the Sea Gull Inn welcomes you.

LookOut 1: Bright and fresh, with views of the ocean from the room and the double adirondak chair outside on the wrap-around porch. Sit on the deck and enjoy the sunshine and cool ocean breeze. LO#1 features a queen bed and sitting area.

The Lookout-One Room: Downstairs in the main house. One queen bed and a private bath with a standing shower. There is an oceanview and a sitting porch. The room can open to Lookout-Two Room to become a suite.
