Come and relax at the Wilder Farm Inn (c. 1860) with spectacular views no matter what season. Surrounded by the Green Mountains, the Mad River Valley boasts beauty beyond belief, true country living at its best.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Waitsfield, Vermont bed and breakfast: Wilder Farm Inn

National Historical Society Registered and beautifully renovated 1850's farmhouse with private baths. Located in the heart of ski country and the pristine Mad River Valley. We are just minutes from Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. Access a beautiful swimming hole and the Mad River recreation path right across the road. Bask in the sun while wading in the crystal clear river water, borrow our tubes and float away the day. The Mad is also great for canoeing or fly fishing.

If golfing is more your style, you can head over to Sugarbush and indulge yourself on a course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Or, soak in the culture with the antique shops, galleries, theater and a varity of great restaurants - all just minutes from our door.

Enjoy a fireside gourmet breakfast made with local & organic ingredients. Lounge outside with a homemade afternoon snack. Birds, animals and wildflowers abound on the 3+ lush acres surrounding our inn. Sit on our adirondack chairs or swing from a hammock and you will be in total harmony with nature. As you walk the grounds, you will pass many pieces of farm history. Our "lawn art" will bring back visions of Vermont's nostalgic past.

Enjoy a book and glass of wine by a roaring fire in our library. Then, end your day on a comfy featherbed. Wi-Fi equipped and satellite TV. Mountain and road bike tours guided by Luke. Our new pottery studio & gallery is open, The Naked Potter. Check out a Raku firing during the Festival of the Arts.
