Monica has professional culinary experience. We invite you to enjoy a cappuccino or tea on the covered porch where you can enjoy an abundance of wildlife and the sound of the creek.

The winter months bring snowfalls just perfect for skiing, snow boarding and snow tubing at the Wolf Laurel Ski Resort just five minutes down the mountain from our property.

Discover nature in the Smoky Mountains while hiking on the Appalachian Trail, just a short walk from the property. Mountain biking and horseback riding offer a great way to explore our serene mountaintop environment.

Enjoy the refreshing breezes of the Smoky Mountains from the 85 ft covered porch, swim in the heated pool, serve up a rousing game of tennis, go horseback riding or take a hike on our nature trail all without leaving the resort property. For those who are bold, a two-mile hike on our nature trail connects to the Appalachian Trail up on top of Big Bald Mountain. With 360-degree views of three states, this is a breath taking spot for a picnic.

Golfing, fishing, kayaking and whitewater rafting locations are all very near the Bald Mountain House.

The Mt.Mitchell Suite is a 3-room suite with long mountain views, a large bright bathroom, sitting room with window seat for two & a king-size bed. This room can also be made up with two twin beds.
