Area Attractions and Activities:

Directly in front is the historic San Clemente Pier. This beach, located at the tip of the “Pier Bowl” is where all of the summer fun funnels. Built in 1928, the San Clemente Pier is 1,200 feet long and is a wonderful stretch of planks. Take a stroll, watch the surfers or enjoy a meal at the Fisherman's Restaurant and Oyster Bar or Schleppy’s on the Pier.

A bounty of local Art Galleries are located within walking distance of the Casa Tropicana Inn on historic Avenida Del Mar and El Camino Real. Featuring works from renowned regional artists, galleries and shops present a diverse offering of talent and disciplines.

Last Thursday Art Walk on Historic Avenida Del Mar is an ideal opportunity to gather with friends, stroll Avenida Del Mar and meet many of our local artists in person. The mood is relaxed and welcoming, shops are open a bit later, and you’ll find this warm community is at its best. Artisan cheeses and breads, fresh, organically and locally-grown vegetables and flowers.
