Bed and Breakfast Description

Rustic elegance on 2.5 private heavily treed acres, with quiet atmosphere and personal attention. Private telephones in all rooms, modem connections available. Meeting and private function room in separate new building. Now open for dinner on Saturdays.

Breakfast is included each morning in the room rate with your Knickerbocker stay. A two-course gourmet breakfast is selected and prepared each day by Chef Thomas. We try to accommodate your special dietary needs and ask you to advise us of any food sensitivities or allergies. Breakfast at the Knickerbocker is always a treat.

Main House - There are four large, corner rooms located on the second floor of the main house. Each is beautifully decorated with antiques, quality linens, and an abundance of the original natural cedar paneling.

All rooms have private phone, TV/VCR, and an adjoining private bath complete with tub and shower. Access to the second floor verandah (running the length of the main house) allows guests to relax while enjoying "tree top" views of the lake and surrounding forest.

Carriage House - Located a short walk up the hill from the main house, it has 6 additional guest rooms. It was originally the barn build in 1917 and converted to guest rooms in the mid 80s. 4 small cozy rooms, each with exterior entrances are located on the 2nd floor. A large luxury suite with private deck and fully handicap accessible room are on the 1st floor.

Carriage House Suite: A newly renovated suite is on the main floor of the Carriage House about 100 feet from the main house. The main great room has a gas log fireplace, big screen TV/VCR, game table, small refrigerator, sleeping nook with king size bed.

Penthouse Suite: Recently re-opened, top of the house suite offers ultimate views & luxury. Vermont casting stove, spa tub, king 4 poster bed, 2 TVs, coffee service area with small refrigerator and private deck and outside entrance from ground floor.
