Bed and Breakfast Description

Located in the historic Montford District of Asheville, AppleWood Manor Inn sits on its acre and a half of 'country in the city' surrounded by giant oaks, pines, maples and other trees.

Larry and Nancy Merrill are your hosts in this fine, old colonial turn-of-the-century home. By paying particular attention to fine details, we take extra pride and care in making your stay with us restful, pleasant and memorable. In a time when so much is overlooked in the hustle-bustle, we invite you to romance yourselves with a stay at the Manor.

Later, Retire to your spacious room decorated with antiques, lace, and fine linen … curl up to the cozy, working fireplaces and get a refreshing night's sleep in a room garnished with fresh flowers …

Awaken to the Manor's strictly fresh fare: Homemade muffins and breads, enticing entrees, specially blended coffee or tea, and seasonal fruit. Enjoy your breakfast seated on our side porch furnished with white wicker, or by the fireside in our formal dining room …

After breakfast you may be off for a stroll in the nearby Botanical Gardens, or a game of croquet or badminton in the yard... Upon your return from your adventures, pause a while by the fireplace in the parlor, or in the library with a calming cup of tea or other refreshments, good conversation or a good book, and look forward to another day of living well under the cordial roof here at AppleWood Manor Inn.
