Designated as a historic property, The Colonial Terrace was built in 1925 and has a rich history dating back to Carmel's early bohemian days. With many of the original features still in place, it has retained its charm and personality, while providing guests with years of memories. We value our repeat guests, many of whom have been coming for over 40 or even 50 years!

Location is everything; and The Colonial Terrace has the ideal balance. Just one short block from Carmel beach and seven blocks from the upscale boutiques in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea.
