Canterbury House
Woodstock, Vermont.
An 1880 Victorian townhouse restored to offer modern comfort & historic authenticity. All 7 rooms have private baths and summer air conditioning. The house is within walking distance of the Village Green.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Located in the beautiful village of Woodstock, the Canterbury House was built in 1880 as a Victorian townhouse and is now owned and operated by Sue and Bob Frost.
All 7 guestrooms, which are named after the tales in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales, have their own unique themes, many of which are furnished with antiques.
The Monk’s Tale, at the back of the house, has its own private entrance and gas fireplace, a huge Victorian bath, and cable television. Chaucer’s Garrett, on the third floor, features a king sized bed, TV and private sitting area. Squire's Tale features a sitting area with color TV, Queen bed and full bath with shower and tub. All of the rooms have private baths, and in the summer, air conditioning.
Sue’s breakfasts have proven to be the hit of many a guest’s day, just the hearty beginning one needs as they start out on a day's excursion of skiing, biking, hiking, and shopping, all of which are readily available in the area.
For your comfort, the Canterbury is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
