The Columbian
Columbia, Pennsylvania.
Restored turn-of-the-century circa 1897 mansion. Includes wraparound sun porches, stained-glass window, & tiered staircase. Decorated with antiques in Victorian or Country style.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Come visit us in Lancaster County. Columbia, a town of 11,500 on the Susquehanna River, is 10 miles west of busy Lancaster and about 30 miles east of Ski Roundtop. Nearly selected as the U.S. capital, and later a stop on the Underground Railroad, Columbia boasts a world-class museum, a drive-in theater, a century-old drugstore and one B&B: the Columbian.
As you enter the Columbian, guests discover the Inn's most striking feature: an ornate, 10-foot-wide stained-glass window. It lights the airy landing above the window seat, and looking up at it through the dozens of polished wooden posts in the switchback staircase makes for a truly grand entrance.
There are 4 guest rooms and 1 suite, all with private baths, TVs, A/C, and some with fireplaces. A full breakfast is served each morning in our dining room, consisting of orange juice, fresh fruit, homemade granola and sweet breads, and pancake or egg main entree.
Massage/spa treatments offered on site. Hot Tub with attached Gazebo for privacy located outside in our gardens.
