 Individually appointed rooms and suites in historic sea captain's home and farmhouse. Beautiful views from every room, all private baths, comfortable sitting areas. Marvelous nature preserve surrounding lodgings. Multi-course breakfast served each morning. Sonja's very special three or four course breakfasts are served in the colonial house dining rooms, where guests gather for a wonderful culinary experience. Often includes exquisite chilled soups, fresh homemade muffins and breads, waffles, pancakes, soufflés, and baked eggs to name just a few of her extensive repertoire of wonderful dishes. Area Attractions and Activities: Hiking Acadia 5 minutes away, canoeing, sea kayaking, biking, golf, swimming, birdwatching, moose sighting, artisans and local wineries. Services: Sitting room, library, fireplace, lawn games, flowers, private beach Most Popular Rooms: Sea Captains: Looks both to the ocean and the crashing surf on our private sandy beach and up to the meadows and gardens. Has a queen size bed, private bath, and a living room. Also has adjoining room. We have a large suite that has a queen sized bed, its own living room area as well as a small room adjoining. Spanning the house, the room has a total of eight windows offering views over the bay, meadows and gardens. |
