Located along the Pacific Coast Bike Route, between Santa Cruz and Monterey, the historic Flora Vista Inn is nestled among lush flower and strawberry fields, a short walk from spectacular beaches.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Flora Vista Inn was originally built in 1867 by Frederick Thurwachter, a German immigrant farmer. The farmhouse, a replica of Abraham Lincoln’s Springfield home, was the first neo-Georgian-style house built in the Pajaro Valley. In 1997 it was moved six miles along San Andreas Road to its present two acre location and renovated into a charming, estate quality home while retaining the warm and cozy feel of the old farmhouse.

We offer hearty breakfasts, afternoon refreshments, and intimate and romantic rooms with sweeping vistas. We also feature two, tournament quality, clay tennis courts.

Each room is equipped with TV, wireless Internet, private bathrooms, gas fireplaces and comfortable beds. The great room offers many guide books and maps for use in planning your activities on the Monterey Bay.

Most Popular Rooms:

Heather: This upstairs room offers a California king-sized sleigh bed, sunrises and sunsets, sweeping vistas of the adjacent heather fields and access to a shared balcony. Its two-person whirlpool tub is located, romantically, across from the fireplace.

Calla Lily: This upstairs room offers sweeping vistas of the adjacent flower fields. An antique armoire compliments a four-post, king-sized bed. Its bath offers a two-person whirlpool tub (and shower).

Reservation Notes:

Cancellations A small inn such as ours is significantly affected by cancellations and we appreciate your consideration of our cancellation policy. Cancellations of a confirmed reservation more than seven days in advance will incur a $25 processing fee. Cancellations of a confirmed reservation less than seven days in advance will result in a charge of one night's stay. Cancellations must be made by calling and speaking to an innkeeper directly or by e-mail with a confirmed response.
