Bed and Breakfast Description

Tucked into a secluded inlet with magnificent views of the water, the Lawnmere Inn is a vintage Victorian jewel. Fireplaces in common rooms. Cheerful yellow shutters and flower boxes overflowing with brilliant blooms greet you just as they have done for over 100 years. Oldest continuously operating inn in Boothbay region.

You’ll start your day with a complimentary country buffet breakfast featuring wild Maine blueberry pancakes, our famous corned beef hash, and much more. Served daily from 7:30 am-9:30 am.

Our water view dining room has breath taking sunsets, exquisite cuisine with an extensive wine list a full bar is also available. Lunch is served daily (except Saturdays) 11:30-2:30 pm, dinner is served nightly from 5:30 pm-9:00pm. Our cozy Groggy Lobster pub is open daily at 4:00 pm and serves a full menu as well as pub fare.

We offer one of the most beautiful, romantic and intimate locations for weddings up to 120 people. A lobster bake rehearsal dinner is a must, served in the true Maine tradition.

The Boothbay region is very popular with cyclists and sea kayakers. The Lawnmere Inn is your gateway to miles of scenic country roads and varying coastline. If you bring your own bicycle, we have a covered storage area. Our dock is an excellent launching facility for your kayak or canoe. Boothbay Harbor offers both bicycle and kayak rentals. Our guests have free use of the Inn's bicycles and kayaks.

Visit the shops in Boothbay Harbor where you'll find everything from souvenirs and t-shirts to handmade jewelry and ceramics to boutiques with the latest wearable art. And, we're located less than 1 hour from Freeport, Maine's shopping Mecca.

Our Pine View guest house is available for weekly rentals, tucked away on the Inns property, with air conditioning, full kitchens and private baths. Its unique design allows accommodations for up to 16 people. The perfect place for family & friends.
