The open sea, rocky cliffs and thick forest create an enchanting setting for the Newagen Seaside Inn, poised on the tip of Cape Newagen in the heart of Maine's famed Boothbay Harbor region.

As you drive down our long, spruce-lined drive, the brisk sea air mixed with the scent of evergreen will tell you that you've arrived at the edge of the sea. Come sit on a sun-warmed rock and watch the sparkling sapphire waves, or stretch out in a deck chair beside our heated freshwater pool. Stroll down a mossy woodland path or begin a game of croquet on our sprawling, flower-edged lawns.

Whether you're looking for the perfect spot for a romantic getaway, or activities for all ages for a family retreat, make some memories at the newly restored, yet always historic, Newagen Seaside Inn… at the edge of the sea.

The Newagen Seaside Inn has a rich history of delighted brides and grooms, due in part to our unique and spectacular location at the seaward tip of Southport Island. Our beautiful inn and grounds can accommodate groups of up to 225 guests. You may opt for a formal, traditional sit down dinner, or a relaxed, casual lobster bake in honor of your coastal ceremony.

The Newagen Seaside Inn is an ideal venue for group events. Our main dining room can accommodate 100 people for meetings, and two smaller, private dining rooms each comfortably hold break-out groups of 40. Additionally, the Lounge can be used as another break-out room for 30 people.

There's so much to see and do - quite literally something for everyone - and yet we're grounded in the occupations that our ancestors held here - lobstering, fishing, and shipbuilding. There are quaint village streets lined with shops and boutiques, and picture perfect harbors dotted with lobster boats, pleasure craft, and windjammers.
