Bed and Breakfast Description

A perfect getaway for all seasons! In winter enjoy one of the 11 fireplaces with afternoon tea. Snuggle under plush down-comforters and feather beds. In summer, enjoy central air-conditioning and complimentary guest beverages on the breezy front porch or shaded terrace.
All rooms are decorated with antiques and luxury bedding. Two rooms can accommodate pets, and one is handicap accessible. Fresh flowers, chocolates and bottled water on silver trays await your arrival. Relax as your innkeepers help with reservations and information.
Richard Sharp-Smith, the supervising architect of the Biltmore Estate, built this home for Mary S. Wolcott in 1899. The home is on the National Register of Historic buildings and remains true to the original renderings.
We are within walking distance to the culture, galleries, shops and restaurants of the city. It is only a few minutes drive to the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the mountains, with convenient access to unlimited outdoor activities. The House is perfectly situated with beautifully landscaped gardens featuring two tranquil Koi ponds.
We are now offering The Carriage House to our guests for additional privacy with separate entrances and located at the rear of the property. It houses 2 main floor pet-friendly suites, with remote controlled fireplaces, kitchenettes and king beds. It is surrounded by a flagstone terrace on both sides.
