This 208-year-old b&b inn is tucked away on 10 acres under large pecan trees. Just west of Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina. Once was the homestead for the headmaster of the Bingham School.

Enjoy climbing into a pencil-post canopy bed or rocking by the fire. Snuggle under the quilts in a 1790 log cabin. Sink into a whirlpool tub filled with bubbles. In every room, indulge yourself with thick robes, luxurious soaps, cotton sheets, and homemade cookies!

Wake up to an elaborate breakfast served in the dining room or on the patio. Our menus are designed to make the most of seasonal specialties: pear-almond waffles, baked German pancakes, and huevos rancheros are just a few of the offerings. Fresh fruit, gourmet coffee and teas always accompany all of our homemade breakfasts!

Area Attractions and Activities:

While in Orange County visit the Ackland Art Museum, Morehead Planetarium and the North Carolina Botanical Garden at Chapel Hill. Take in an UNC basketball game or concert at the Dean E. Smith Center, paddle a boat on University Lake, or view touring artifacts at the North Carolina Collection Gallery.

Historic Hillsborough hosts Montrose Gardens, Ayr Mount, the Ruffin-Roulhac House, and the Orange County Historical Museum. For the adventurous, hike the wilderness at Eno River State Park in nearby Durham.

Milkhouse: Separate cottage with sitting room, bathroom with a whirlpool tub and shower, queen size bed. 3 sides of room have glass windows overlooking the property.

Rusty's Room (Circa 1801): An A-shaped room in the main house with two antique double-sized rope beds and a gorgeous Georgina mantel above the working fireplace. The private bathroom is divided with a bathtub.
