Bed and Breakfast Description

Manitou Springs, Colorado bed and breakfast: Blue Skies Inn

Blue Skies Inn's garden courtyard is surrounded by ten unique artist painted suites, clustered in a quaint village of Gothic Revival architecture. Enjoy amenities for a romantic retreat, family vacation, wedding, or high-tech business stay.

Our city was founded in 1873 by Dr. William Bell who established a health resort centered around the city's many artesian mineral springs. Manitou Springs maintains its small-town charm, and you can stroll downtown to taste water still flowing from all of our mineral springs.

Blue Skies Inn is located on the secluded estate called Briarhurst that the city's founder built for his family in the heart of the city. Our inn is clustered around Dr. Bell's carriage house. Towering willows and cottonwoods stand along Fountain Creek which is full of trout for those who fish. Beyond that leafy border lies historic downtown Manitou Springs with wonderful shops and museums to explore.

Our grounds feature lawns, lush flower gardens, a splashing waterfall in the Secret Garden, charming gazebo surrounding a large hot tub open to the sky, and a hillside covered with hundred year-old scrub oak. Wildlife also enjoys visiting the inn.

Located in Manitou Springs, Blue Skies Inn is near to the entire Denver - Colorado Springs - Pueblo area, and is full of wonderful places to see and things to do.

"...original art, exquisite use of color, and superb bed and breakfast accommodations," - Doris Kennedy, "Inn for the Night," the Denver Post.
