Bed and Breakfast Description

From the moment you drive down the lane to the inn, you can feel yourself relaxing as you gaze upon the beauty of the lake, the trees, and the wildlife. Step into the inn and drink in the rich oak woodwork in mission style. Upon entering your suite for the evening, you will find a warm fire and whirlpool for two waiting for your tired body to be rejuvenated.

Wake up refreshed to the sounds of visiting Canadian geese or an occasional owl. The full gourmet breakfast is served in the dining room with large windows overlooking the private lake, fields, and woods.

Meet your Innkeepers:
Owners Denny and Jan Reed have created an atmosphere they hope will aid you in your relaxation and romantic pursuits. Denny is the chef and also an accomplished woodworker. Throughout the inn, you can see his fine craftsmanship, from the coffered ceilings to the custom-designed and built cabinetry and furniture. Denny won a chef competition in August, 2007. Jan, among other things, is the administrator.

In 1999 the work was started on the creation of the lake. Work was completed in 2000 and it started filling up that year. The fish were stocked in 2001 and have been growing rapidly.

In 2004, ground was broken for the inn. Denny and Jan did much of the inside work themselves over the next two years. Many more projects will complete the inn in years to come. Some of those projects are to add garden areas for relaxing outside, hiking trails through the woods, and a game room.

Fishing Report:
The Mission Oak Inn lake is a private 7-acre lake with limited fishing pressure and a catch-and-release policy for bass and walleye. Therefore, it provides excellent fishing for even the inexperienced fisherman.

The lake has largemouth bass over 6 pounds with a large population of 2 to 4 pounders. The bass have been growing almost a pound a year,
and walleye should also be near 6 pounds.

Reservation Notes:

Cancellations are very costly to our business. Our policy is full refund, minus $25 processing fee, if cancelled more than 30 days in advance of your stay. If less than 30 days, you may choose to re-schedule for a Monday through Thursday evening, and a $25 processing fee will be charged. You must stay within 60 days of your original stay. If cancellation is within 7 days of your stay, your deposit is forfeited. Gift certificates are subject to the same cancellation policy.
