Named after the gracious lady who owned the home at the turn-of-the-century, the Inn and its owners invite you to sample the old- fashioned hospitality, the tempting breakfasts, and the charming, attractive accommodations.

The library provides a congenial setting every morning for a bountiful breakfast. While enjoying a satisfying meal, observe the many varieties of birds that the garden hosts. In the afternoon, come back to the living room to enjoy tasty snacks.

A full breakfast is served each morning. Complimentary snacks, beverages, fruit & cookies are always freely available.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The Maria Atwood Inn is located in the epicenter of NH. Within an hour drive is the seacoast, Maine, Vermont or Massachusetts. Whatever your preference, be it skiing, snowmobiling, golf, tennis, hiking, swimming, hunting, fishing, bicycling or boating, these are all within a half-hour ride or less.

The area is also dotted with various antique shops, scenic viewing, historic sites, theater at the Franklin Opera House, great auctions at Regal Auctions in Franklin, many country auctions, old fashioned county fairs, hiking trails, many places to find deer, moose, pheasant. In late Fall, hunters are welcomed. Sandi's favorite spot is Keepsake Quilting in Center Harbor.

There are so many terrific places and things to do here in the Lakes Region that you won't have time to see them all! Fall foliage is incomparable, winter has skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling. Summer hiking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming. There is always another adventure to enjoy at the next shop, corner or mountain peak.
