Morgan Hill Retreat

Poulsbo, Washington.

Morgan Hill Retreat features comfortably sophisticated accommodations created to inspire relaxation and renewal. With an emphasis on privacy, this refuge will indulge visitors craving rest, solitude and inspiration.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Poulsbo, Washington bed and breakfast: Morgan Hill Retreat

Natural cedar siding milled from resident trees covers the beautifully crafted farmhouse, evidence of the attention to detail and natural beauty valued here. The trout pond reflects the beauty around it and although the hooded mergansers and great blue heron rarely release their catch, we ask that human guests do so.

Visitors to Kitsap County can enjoy an abundance of activities like gathering oysters on Hood Canal beaches, or hiking the abundant trails. Breathtaking sights foster your efforts to get centered, but it is not necessary to wander from Morgan Hill Retreat. Nestled on a hill between the Hood Canal and Poulsbo, WA, the retreat was designed to indulge those visitors craving solitude, relaxation and extreme self-care. Each room has a table for writing, a comfortable seat for reading, a coffee pot and a small refrigerator stocked with complimentary juice and water. The TV/VHS/DVD is hidden but if it's important, it's here. A library with movies and books is available including some books on tape.

Enjoy breakfast in the blissful solitude of your room or in the dining area with other guests. The wrap-around porch is also a comfortable venue for a delectable morning repast, including fresh eggs in rainbow colors produced by Morgan Hill Hens. After breakfast, read a book under an ancient cedar, write a poem in the hayloft, wander the Christmas tree farm, revisit watercolors in the garden, or curl up, gaze at the mountains and contemplate life.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Massage... Morgan Hill Retreat massage table can be set up in your room, on the porch by the pond, or maybe in the "grass house" in the garden. Please make advance arrangements for the massage therapist.

Fine Art Photography... The walls of Morgan Hill Retreat feature photography by innkeeper, Marcia Breece, and illustrate her international travels. Images are available for purchase; please inquire during your stay.

Bird Watching... Washington Birding expert, Marv Breece, is available to guide a birding tour you will never forget. In addition to the birds, he keeps an eye out for other wildlife and often spots whales, otters, sea lions, fox, coyote, etc.
