Frankfort is ideally situated with beautiful views of Lake Michigan, beaches, sand dunes, lakes, woods and streams. The area boasts many golf courses, Crystal Mountain Resort for golf and skiing, an excellent charter fishing fleet, and a spacious harbor for the traveling boater.

The newly created Betsie Valley Trail comes right into town -- hiking, biking, roller-blades, and cross-country skiing following the old pathway of the Ann Arbor Railroad service to the car ferry fleet. Local lakes and streams provide boating, canoeing, kayaking and drift tubing.
