Welcome to Port d'Hiver (say port-DEE-vair), a luxury seaside B & B, located 200 feet from the Atlantic Ocean in Melbourne Beach, Florida. Our historic inn consists of 4 Key West-style buildings, connected by winding brick paths.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Guests can enjoy a cold drink while looking at the Ocean from their very own porch, visit in our private courtyard, or soak away the salt, sand and sun in our bubbling spa pool.

The restored 1916 Main House has three guest rooms on the second floor with marble baths, two with ocean views and large porches and a third with a private balcony overlooking the courtyard.

The Carriage House is our largest and most romantic room: a West-Indies style suite with sweeping ocean views, private porch, king-sized bamboo bed and a romantic two-person whirlpool tub.

The Cabanas have rooms and suites all with large private porches and whirlpool tubs, but each with its own distinct personality. Guests may enjoy an ocean view porch with an intricately carved king-sized Jamaican Plantation Bed, a quietly refined French canopy room with large tub, beautiful fixtures and separate shower, or a classic Havana room with a sleigh bed, cool tiles and beamed ceiling next to a flowing waterfall.

Besides soaking in our waterfall spa pool, & lounging on your private porch, guests can borrow fishing poles & beach chairs for a fun outdoor afternoon. Go surfing across the street at one of Florida’s premier beaches or drive 15 miles south to the famous Sebastian Inlet where you can schedule eco-tours & kayaking on the Indian River.

Or walk down to the park & play bocci ball, basketball or tennis or go golf just around the corner. Feeling sore after all that activity? Cross the street to the wellness center, located in one of Melbourne Beach’s historic buildings & get a massage, enjoy aromatherapy, acupuncture or take a pilates class.

Close by are Indialantic’s surf shops & boardwalk & a 10-minute drive to historic downtown Melbourne where visitors enjoy antique shopping, dining & live music.

Day trips include: Cape Canaveral, the Kennedy Space Center or one of Orlando’s theme parks only a little more than an hour away.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Mangrove Suite: located on the first floor, our largest room. Guests enter through private porch entrance. Features a living room, separate bedroom w/king-size canopy bed, 2-person spa and separate shower.

The Carriage House is an extraordinary retreat with sunny ocean views, king-sized bamboo bed, fine linens, comfortable living area and a large private bath with two-person spa tub and separate shower.
