Boothbay Harbor, Maine bed and breakfast: Kenniston Hill Inn
The Revolutionary War was barely over when David Kenniston built this gracious white clapboard home on a hill near Boothbay Harbor.Gardens with hammocks, quiet, tranquil.

With five of the ten bedrooms offering working fireplaces, the handsome early American decor,feather top beds,some with flannel LLBean sheets in the winter, four poster beds add to the romantic atmosphere. All ten rooms have private baths. Each of the rooms have its own unique character and charm. Several of them have their own outside entrances.Warm and Inviting. Winter retreat. Open all year.

Early coffee is served at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast following between 8:00 and 9:00. Specialties of the house include peaches and cream French toast, blueberry and walnut pancakes, Dianne's goat cheese omelets, real Maine home fries, egg strata . There are just-baked muffins, blueberry buckle, sausage, bacon or ham. The meal also consists of orange, apple or cranapple juice and a fresh fruit cup or fruit compote. Guests may choose to enjoy breakfast in the dining room, on the porch, or out on the garden patio.

In the afternoon you may relax in the gardens or on the front porch and enjoy a cool drink and some delicious homemade sweets.

The Boothbay Country Club borders our property and makes for a perfect afternoon's recreation. The 18 hole,(golf packages through the Inn) beautifully landscaped course is rated as one of the most enjoyable in New England, cross-country skiing, instruction included by the Innkeeper
Area Attractions and Activities:
Boothbay area with its spectacular coastline offers sailing,boating,yachting. There are gift shops, antiques, and art galleries to explore; sightseeing and whale watching cruises to take; lighthouses and historic sites to visit. Take a day cruise to Monhegan Island, or play golf at the private Boothbay Golf Club that borders our property. Open all year, X-C skiing on site, lessons by the Innkeeper. Close to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. Hammocks in the garden at the Inn, feather top beds, some with flannel LL Bean sheets, WiFi, winter retreat,warm and inviting. Great food. Winter retreat and x-c skiing on the premises, lessons by the Innkeeper. Antique shopping year round,lighthouses.
Kenniston Hill is a day-trip to all coast of Maine Destinations-Acadia, Bar Harbor, Kennebunkport, Portland, Freeport. Spacious rooms make for a "base camp" to extend your visit to all of Maine.
