Begin your morning with a generous breakfast served in the dining room or on the Victorian plantation porch. House specialties include poached pears, frozen amaretto cream baskets filled with mixed berries, crepes, pancakes and waffles, veggie fritters, sausage puffs, potato tortillas, and a tempting variety of egg dishes.

All seven of the guest chambers in this large neoclassical manor, which dates from 1907, have been individually decorated for your comfort and relaxation. Most have fireplaces and private balconies; all have private baths, cable TV, VCRs, and telephones.

There is so much to do here! You can arrange fishing and sailing trips at the docks, only two blocks from the inn. Kayak rentals are available for exploring Edenton Harbor or Queen Anne Creek. The Visitors Center offers exhibits and guided walking and trolley tours to discover the rich biography and architectural diversity of the Historic District. For an activity filled daytrip, head for the beaches of the Outer Banks, visit famous Jockey’s Ridge, or the North Carolina Aquarium.

For something more leisurely, the nearby historic plantations are a great diversion, and our gentle country roads are just right for biking. There’s musical theatre in the evening, as well as the famous Lost Colony outdoor drama, just a short drive away. We will be happy to help you plan sightseeing and dining throughout this beautiful and storied corner of North Carolina.
