Bed and Breakfast Description

Built in the early 1920s, this fully restored, 2-story brick home offers Old World elegance with modern conveniences. Original Queen Anne and Chippendale furnishings finish off the formal living room and dining room.

The 5 sleeping rooms, most with private baths, are easily accessible from the wide hallways on each floor. Enjoy complimentary afternoon wine and cheese on the spacious front porch, or stroll through the garden shaded by expansive oak trees. Feel free to curl up in the den to watch a movie on the VCR. For the business traveler, we offer a private study with fax, phone, copier, printer, and data port.

A full country gourmet breakfast awaits you every morning at Ingleside Bed & Breakfast. Between 8:00am and 9:30am our guests are treated to freshly prepared favorites including... Crunchy French Toast, with sausage links, fruit and a pastry or An Ingleside favorite: Caramelized banana omelet garnished with strawberries, with sides of fresh berries, biscuits, and maple-cured sausages.

Tour the Blue Bell Creameries, home of the 3rd best selling ice cream in the country, and have a complimentary ice cream of your choice.

Visit the Antique Rose Emporium, a fabulous garden where you can tour and buy any of several hundred species of vintage roses, some hundreds of years old.

See Ellison's Greenhouse, the only working greenhouse in the state that is open to the public, filled year-round with chrysanthemums, gloxinias, African violets, and kolanchoes, seasonally poinsettias, tulips, Easter lilies, hydrangeas and other blooming flowers.

Pet the miniature horses at the Monastery of St. Clare, where the Franciscan Poor Clare nuns support the monastery by raising miniature horses and selling handmade ceramic items.

Spend time in museums such as the Brenham Heritage Museum, the Giddings-Wilkin House Museum, and the Chappell Hill Museum.

Most Popular Rooms:

Wildflower Room: Furnished with a cherry two-poster king-size bed. A wardrobe, small sofa & comfy chair, as well as a dresser, round out the furnishings. The room has a private bath with a large tiled shower. All rooms have TVs with cable and DVD players.

The Princess room is located at the top of the stairs. A lovely white queen-size iron bed is surrounded by a wardrobe, two comfortable chairs and a dresser. Bath robes are provided in the wardrobe. Has TV with cable and wireless internet access.
