Cliffwood Inn

Lenox, Massachusetts.

At Cliffwood Inn, you will find that same spirit of welcome and hospitality in the early 1890’s mansion of “belle époque” beauty. Built in the Stanford White style, the B&B features polished, inlaid hardwood floors, high ceilings and spacious rooms.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Lenox, Massachusetts bed and breakfast: Cliffwood Inn

The Cliffwood Inn, a Colonial Revival style home, was designed by Arthur Rotch (1850-1894) of Rotch & Tilden Architects of Boston. Joy and Scottie Farrelly, Innkeepers, lived in Europe and Montreal, Canada for many years. A number of fine pieces of furniture, paintings, oriental rugs and articles of decor, acquired during this time, are now an integral part of the Cliffwood Inn setting.

There are seven bedrooms - each with private bath and six with fireplace - all with warm and attractive furnishings that make guests feel wrapped in comfort. Each bedroom is named for an ancestor of the Farrellys and a picture with an informative short biography of each is found in its respective room.

During the summer, guests relax on the wide veranda overlooking the swimming pool and grounds, providing an ambiance of peacefulness and harmony. Winter finds guests enjoying the spacious, oval paneled dining room near the warm hearth, one of the ten beautiful fireplaces in the Inn.
