The Captain David Kelley House

Centerville, Massachusetts.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Centerville, Massachusetts bed and breakfast: The Captain David Kelley House

In the heart of a 200 year old romantic Cape Cod seaside village.

Travel into the charm and elegance of our past. Located between Hyannis and the village of Osterville, in Historic Centerville on "Captain's Row" - exactly one half mile from the warm water ocean beaches of Nantucket Sound.

Captain David Kelley built this gracious Greek Revival House in 1835. The name of this Bed & Breakfast has been changed to pay tribute to the Sea Captain who built this lovely house. In the late 1870’s, Captain Kelley sold the house to another prominent Centerville citizen, Captain John Baker, skipper of the ship named “Pride of the Port”.

A detailed historic restoration was completed in 2004 so the inn now reflects the original character of a classic Cape Cod Sea Captain’s home in the early 1800’s. Our craftsman and decorators worked on the restoration for 7 months. The results include beautifully crafted crown moldings, historic wallpapers, antique oriental carpets, a collection of nautical art and many lovely antiques.

All 5 rooms and 1 suite have been completely renovated and beautifully decorated in 2004. All rooms have king or queen beds, private baths, air-conditioning and Cable TV.
