Carriage House Inn
Searsport, Maine.
Come stay in one of Maine's most photographed homes, & find your own refuge & inspiration! Listed on the National Register of Historic places, this 1874 Victorian sea captain's mansion was home to legendary Impressionist painter Waldo Pierce.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Our inn was featured on HGTV's "If Walls Could Talk" on June 23rd 2008. We were also featured on "Bill Green's Maine" due to the newly found hidden murals of the famous artist who lived here.
To create a very personal and private experience for our guests, we chose to limit the rooms we rent to three inside the main building. Each of these guestrooms is tastefully decorated with antiques and artifacts of the 19th century.
Each offers a very different feel, but all offer
comfort, intimacy and a sense that you have stepped back in time. All three rooms have eleven foot ceilings and spacious, private bathrooms. Floor to ceiling windows make for gorgeous natural light.
Guests enjoy a full breakfast each morning in our beautiful dining room. The Inn is elegant yet homey and comfortable at the same time.
In addition to the three bed & breakfast rooms, we also have a gorgeous, rustic 1,000 sq. ft., open loft space on the second floor of the old carriage house of the Inn. This former artists' studio has 16 ft ceilings and wonderful French doors, which look out onto the sweeping grounds and the ocean beyond. The loft sleep 6-8, has a brand new full kitchen to cook your own meals, and a beautiful, large bathroom. Great for family getaways or for a group of friends!
