Located in the heart of the historic district on tree canopied Fifth Avenue, Wisteria Bed and Breakfast was built in 1900 for one of Laurel's founders, Silas Gardiner. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Step back in time to the charm of the Old South. Wisteria (the Gardiner-Schneider House) was built in 1900 of cypress and heart pine for one of Laurel's founding fathers, Silas Gardiner, an owner of Eastman - Gardiner Lumber Co.

Wisteria opened as a bed and breakfast in 2004. Family heirlooms, period furnishings, exquisite hand-made leaded and beveled glass windows are featured. Guests enjoy freshly brewed morning coffee when they awaken. A leisurely gourmet breakfast on fine china with crystal, silver and linens is served in the sunny breakfast room, in the formal dining room, or on the veranda, where sounds of chimes can be heard from a nearby church
