Enjoy the peaceful setting of five tranquil birch tree acres at “Meandering Moose Lodging”. Close enough to walk or bike to downtown Talkeetna, yet far enough away for a truly peaceful retreat.

Meandering Moose Lodging offers two types of accommodations for your comfort and enjoyment, you can choose between log cabins or B&B.

The Bed and Breakfast Lodge is a large two story log cabin with three guest rooms. Choose from the top floor master suite which includes a private bath with whirlpool tub or one of the two guest rooms downstairs with shared large bath with a claw foot bathtub.

We offer shuttle service from railroad, wireless internet access, and can assist in making reservations for adventures of your choice. In addition, Mike has made it his quest to keep our guests informed with first hand knowledge of where the best fishing spots are. Hiking
Talkeetna is the access point for many beautiful trails. Take a peaceful walk and look for Alaskan plants and wildlife.

Local Entertainment
Take time to enjoy the people. In summer you will find music most nights of the week. Enjoy the fun in July at the Annual Moose Dropping Festival and December we watch the skys for snow for Winterfest, with contests, music and fun.

Museums
Take a tour of Talkeetna's two museums, the Museum of Northern Adventure and the Little Red Schoolhouse Museum. - Be sure to visit the Forest Service office and view the movie clip on climbing Denali. Another must do is The Don Sheldon Story which plays daily at 3:30 to 4:15 at the Hanger, its the next best thing to climbing the mountain.
